Divine Villa

Great service

We booked two family rooms for one night, and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The rooms were conveniently located on the same floor, making it easy for us to stay connected as a group. Each room featured two extra-large beds with soft linens and comfortable pillows, and the bathrooms were spacious with hot water showers. Tea/coffee-making facilities, soap, four towels and a hair dryer were provided in the room, which added to the comfort. There was also a cozy lobby area on our floor with two dining tables which was ideal for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea together. Both rooms had their own balconies overlooking a small stream flowing along the property boundary, creating a serene natural atmosphere with the soothing sound of running water and birds chirping. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. One highlight was the option to prepare our own kiri ahara (milk food), or alternatively, you can hand over the ingredients for the staff and they would prepare it in the way you want even as early as 4:30 a.m. upon request. The manager kindly allowed us a late checkout until 11:30 a.m. at no extra cost, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, I would rate this place 9.5/10 (deducting just 0.5 for the distance from the Atamasthana), and we would definitely return on our next visit to Anuradhapura

The only downside was the location being a bit far from the Pooja Nagaraya (closer to Yapane Handiya). The access road narrows a bit towards the end, but it's still manageable with an average car. However, if you're relying on public transport, tuk-tuk fares to and from the Pooja Nagaraya could add up.

I really like the staff and the location. They have communicated well and always there whenever we needed a assistance.We found mattresses and pillows were comfortable to sleep and good size bedrooms. Even a single bedroom can accommodate two people.

I thought they could have provided a clean and dusted tea coffee station for each room as we found none of the rooms has a clean station during our stay. My parents room had a broken kettle which was really unacceptable. If they could provide clean/dusted rooms that would be great otherwise it was really a great place to accommodate a group of friends or families.

The rooms are spacious with attached bathrooms, providing excellent value for money. Meals are arranged from outside, and the prices are affordable. It’s about 3-4 km from the Ruwanweliseya Stupa, making it convenient for sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. Highly recommended for those seeking a quiet, budget-friendly stay!
