Murray Hotel

Staying at the Murray Hotel is like taking a step back in time, with a unique decor in each room, but without sacrificing any modern creature comforts. The beds were heavenly, the staff delightful and the adjoining bar and restaurant convenient and fun.

This was our second time staying at Murray Hotel. This time we opted for the two bedroom apartment style room. We were very happy with the space, perfect for a family of four. We are on a roadtrip, and we all kept saying we wished we could take the room with us for the rest of the trip. Beds are very comfortable. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and it was good although always very busy and did have a longer wait for food. The location is perfect for enjoying downtown Livingston. This is the only place we would stay when we make it back.

This is a well done renovation. The hotel retained a lot of the original decor. Huge rooms that feel like home. The old elevator is very unique. The elevator is only run by staff, so you find yourself doing the stairs rather than bother them. Great exercise. Only thing that expedia doesn't tell you is that there is no on site parking. You have to hope for a spot on the street. The parking on street is tough to find until 5pm. We arrived in a dumping rain and had to go about a block.

Everything about this historic hotel was great! Our king suite was spacious and comfortable with locally-themed decor (every room is different) and "little touches" like real plants and a selection of current Montana magazines. Breakfast is not provided but it's an easy walk to restaurants (the Northern Pacific Beanery is excellent). The downtown location is close to numerous shops and restaurants. Next time we'll plan to stay several nights.

Beautiful old hotel. The original elevator still working! Great location and many places to eat and drink within walking distance. A must if you love old hotels. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful with many antique finished but all modern amenities. We stayed 3 nights and would stay again.
