Beautiful and clean property

Poor lighting in the bathroom, the bathtub faucet sprays water outside of the tub and the photos are misleading about the size of the bathtub (it looks like a small pool in the photos. But the biggest problem is that the Kyoto tourist tax was not built into the cost when we booked it and found out at check in that we had to pay an additional $500+ USD on a $1K hotel stay. Definitely would not have stayed there had we known about that upfront; this should be included in the cost when booking.

Quiet and comfortable traditional machiya. Good A/C and amenities and a nice big bath for soaking.

The onsen was the highlight

Comfortable, quiet, and gave a great traditional vibe that was EXACTLY what we were looking for! The staff were friendly and communicated well, made the whole process easy. When we come back to Japan this company will be the first place we check!

Everything was amazing you need to give credit to Rinn Hotels they really make you feel welcomed. They even provided nice instruction on check in and help with answering questions, also helped to make sure our luggage from the transport service was ready to go. They even provide a taxi ride to the machiya house

チェックインが分かりづらい。 スタッフの対応のホームページのせいにしている。 チェックインのために何度もタクシーに乗せられ （自腹）不愉快。二度と使いたくない。
