Walpole Rest Point Caravan Park

The view on arrival was fantastic, as we saw pelicans and later kangaroos near the dock! The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, plates, and small appliances. The woman who checked us in was very friendly.

No accessible plugs in the bed area, apart from one behind the bed, was a big inconvenience, as it meant having to move the bed! You had a choice of either using the electric mattress OR using the lamp on one side of the bed because of the lack of outlets!! Liked having a heater, but its short cord made it impractical to keep the bed area warm enough. Not having a floor lamp or table lamp by the couch made using the couch impractical. We have traveled to over 100 countries, and we have never seen a more appalling bathroom sink than this one, which was scarred and stained beyond belief. Very disappointed that we were not given a room with views of the beach and the dock, considering we made the reservation over EIGHT months in advance. I'd have thought that guests booking so far in advance would be placed at a more appealing site rather than the one nearest the campers' bathrooms and laundry. The kitchen area was frigid in the morning!

Loved the place, the view is amazing, lovely little trail to the beach, nice walk by the golf club too. I got room 2b, it was perfect, had everything I needed and more. I end up sleeping in the single bed instead of the double because the view was just so peaceful and amazing that I couldn't get enough. I wish I had stayed longer. Such a secluded and peaceful place. Reception staff and the groundskeeper were very friendly too ☺️

The location was beautiful and quiet. Nature at your doorstep.
