Yama House Hakuba

The property had been renovated compared to the pictures, so we were pleasantly surprised - the bathrooms and kitchen were all new, so of a good quality fitout. Plenty of room to hangout downstairs, and the bedrooms upstairs were of decent size and bedding comfortable. Only 2 min walk from main echoland street.

The only downside was paw paw bar across the road, which can get a bit noisy at night as people congregate outside (presumably to smoke outside the bar). Not the property’s fault, but just to note.

Great house, black bear property hosts were fantastic..house was very warm and had everything we needed…beds were awesome…we all loved the house.

Hmm, the location is perfect, very close to Tesoro bus stop and minutes to Echoland Main Street…BUT, directly across the street is a very innocent looking house that turns into a very busy bar, every night there was groups walking past yelling and shouting, people hanging outside the house smoking and talking, laughing, yelling…until 2.00am every morning we were there, all of us struggled with sleep…we contacted black bear twice, who did their best, eg phoned the bar..but nothing is going to change while the bar exists, it’s called paw paw bar.
