En-suite, smoke free.

People coming in at 04:30 street noise. Small en-suite space. Staff unable to communicate in English. Self service breakfast. It was laid out in dispensers and pre package continental croissants etc. there were eggs but nothing to cook them in. No coffee in the coffee canister and it felt like I had to rummage through the families cupboards and the fridge also looked as if it was a private one. Floor was gritty in bedroom. Bed throw had dirty marks on it

Sadly it appeared that the property had people staying there who were no overnight B&b stayers - my parter left at midnight a party started and at least 10 people all teenagers probably connected to a staff or long term occupant decided to have a party - I finally went down at 2 am as the foreshores Were slamming every 5 minutes - I was to travel all day the next day and tried to sleep from 11 pm - as I said my partner left at midnight I got to sleep 3 am - they said the people were normal overnight customers but I heard the same language being spoken as earlier in the day so I am not sure but it’s the worst night sleep I have had in any booking in accomodAtion

place has been freshly decorated and with class design, unexpected for the area

difficult to check-in without a phone, as front door bell isnt easily answered. my phone was dead due to network outage and i couldnt call them. i reached the stage of contemplating roughing it out and it was frightening. but then all accommodations of this type dont have real receptions, and each have their own ways of checking-in. it was new for me and thats why i had problems with it.

I did not like anything about this accommodation. I was very disappointed and regretted booking this. The couple that opened the door and finally checked me in and gave me my keys were helpful even though they couldn't understand English or speak the language.

I confirmed my arrival time and received confirmation that Nik would greet me on arrival. On arrival, I rang the doorbells, no response and waited outside, there was no reception area. I called the contact number, and the person said someone would come to meet me and check me in. Another 5-10 minutes went by, I was still standing outside the property waiting to check-in. I called again and he said someone was coming. I thought this was imminent; however, I was still waiting outside. After a long commute to London, all I wanted to do was check into my room and continue my journey to work, and this person was rude and unhelpful. After some time a couple opened the door and I asked if I could check in, however, they couldn't understand English, so they proceeded to call someone and handed me the phone. It was the same person I had spoken with, and he had a terrible attitude and very poor customer service. I began to feel very anxious because I was now running late. His attitude was, 'It is what it is', and said I can leave a review, no apology! The couple then took me inside and showed me a room upstairs which I didn't like, and they offered me another room downstairs. When I travel for work in a city, I normally book one of the well-known hotels, and only check in once I finish work which, is usually quite late at night. However, on this occasion, I wanted to invest in a local business. I arrived earlier in the day to check in before travelling to work until very late at night. Booking this accommodation was a big mistake. When I arrived back after work, I felt very anxious and unsafe. Insects were crawling on the floor and I have never felt so uncomfortable. I didn't feel safe to stay and I had to leave and find another hotel and get a good night's rest for an early start the next day. I always pay for my accommodation upfront and this was the first time I have experienced anything like this. I WILL NOT BOOK AGAIN OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

The room was very well presented, immaculate and Nik was a brilliant, attentive and flexible host. The off road parking was a big bonus and the overall experience exceeded my expectations based on the price I paid. Great work Nik, well done!

If I'm being really picky, the duvet could have been a bit thicker, it was a bit cold in the night...
