Hotel O Pondok 789 Near Canggu Echo beach

the accommodation was not like the pictures, it was old and dirty and moist. our towel (wich was only one) was full of stains and smelled. the shower pit and sink where clogged so there was dirt coming up. i’ve been in allot of budget hotels in my 7 months trip and this one was one of the worst.

The bed was comfortable and the room was small but cozy and quiet, being off the main road with a rice field opposite. We were on the ground floor and there is a small terrace area you can sit out on with chairs and tables (I think the rooms upstairs have a balcony). It's about a 15 minute ride to the main beaches so I definitely recommend you rent one of their scooters as long as you're confident to ride one. There are a couple of nice restaurants, mini-mart, and laundry service within walking distance. The owners were very friendly and helpful. If you can't see them at reception when you arrive you can ring the bell (or send them a WhatsApp message) as they live right next door.

The best Wi-Fi in Bali hands down. Most hotels on the island have Wi-Fi that is barely useable. This place is a hidden gem for the price. The owners are also extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you! Seriously the nicest people ever. They are also renovating the stay so it will be even better. I’m definitely coming back in the future.

The location is a bit far so you need to be able to drive a scooter or have the Gojek app. Make sure to download it before you come.

it’s in a great area; near everything but it’s still quiet. the owner is the sweetest person; my flight landed very late and he helped me get something to eat and drink.

Very good value for money and staff very friendly- recommended the cafe 786 down the street also under same management local price and great setting for breakfast/lunch. Had everything I needed close to this hotel great neighbourhood would recommend for a quiet stay with own transport also available at property.

Can be quite loud as I think there is no sound proofing other than that I don’t think there is anything to complain about

perfect location just outside of the main streets of Canggu. Rent scooters from the accommodation and is a few minute drive to everything. Rooms are basic but perfect for budget travel.
