Golden Hill Cottage Nusa Penida

Pool was nice…

Our stay at Golden Hill Cottage, Nusa Penida, was a major letdown. The online pictures were misleading; our room was dirty with stains on walls, questionable insect residue, and a malfunctioning door that let bugs in. Towels were stained, outlets broken, and the Wi-Fi unreliable. At 10€ per person per night, it was cheap but not worth it. We felt catfished by this place; I wouldn't recommend it. 🏚️💔

Air condition is good in the room

1) its in the middle of nowhere 2) staff can’t speak english, they can’t understand u 3) rooms are so close each other and if u have noise neighbor, u cant sleep 4) when u ask port transportation, they cant organize a taxi, they offer to take u with an expensive price 5) if u ask any flexibility to them, they dont help

Far from centre, but management of the checkin is delayed even when we check in at 9pm (room is not ready) have to wait for staff to prepare

The pool

The staff that couldn’t talk any word english The mold in the pillows The bed which was super small and the pillows that weren’t comfortable at all The way the property was build with all the houses build way to close to each other, which resulted in being able to hear the neighbours going to the toilet all the time The way the houses were isolated which resulted in a sleepless night because of all the chickens, dogs, and mmotorized traffic that passed by The breakfast choice had to be passed to the personnel in the evening, so when we ordered an ice coffee we were surprised the staff told us with google translate they will put the water in the freezer that morning to make ice cubes The price is way top much for what you get 100.000 IDR for one night would be maximum imo, we paid around 600.000,the stay we have now was only 200.000 more and way better wouldn’t recommend this to anybody, we packed our bags immediately after the first ‘night’ overall score : 2/10

Just need a sign on the main road to help find it a little easier, but once you know where it is, it's great!

Beautiful room setup and very comfortable bed. Great ammenities and gorgeous bathroom. Lovely pool placed centrally

Was hard for local driver to find location. With a semi open bathroom, everyone can hear you go to the toilet. Neighbours Dogs bark all through the night and the roosters go off all hours of the day & night so couldn’t sleep properly at all.

Very comfortable beds, brand new AC, nice bathroom. Good value for money

Simple breakfast but plenty of options in town

Far from harbour, ,rooms are full of insects and spiders, staff doesnt understand English well
