Bella Villa Messina

We chose Bellla Villa Messina for a 'big' anniversary getaway and couldn't be happier! Owner Jerry creates a warm, welcoming environment that made us feel like family by the time we left (and he serves a damn good breakfast too). As first-time Sonoma visitors, Jerry enthusiastically offered fantastic advice for our 3-day itinerary, which led to a thoroughly memorable trip - complete with boutique wineries, 5-star restaurants, and dive joints that blew us away. The room and inn itself were lovely. The common areas offer stunning views of the surrounding hills, while our room was a welcome romantic retreat after event-filled days. Bella Villa Messina is located just outside the very cool town of Healdsburg, within a short drive of the major wine producing regions of Dry Creek, Alexander, and Russian River Valleys. On Jerry's advice, we took a 1/2 day break from the wineries to hike among the redwoods & drive the rugged coast down to Bodega Bay - the experience was an unexpected highlight of our trip. We'll be back!

This was a wonderful place to stay- the rooms were beautifully and uniquely decorated. The breakfast was excellent with lots of local fresh fruit and homemade frittata one day, brioche French toast and scrambled eggs with bacon. We especially enjoyed the evenings with different wines and a nice selection of cheese and crackers. The host Jerry was very attentive and fun with lots of stories and a wealth of useful information on local wineries and restaurants. We will be back for a future vacation.

Jerry and Esther (the hosts) were wonderful. Super informative and friendly. Our room was spotless and breakfast was very fresh and delicious. Would absolutely stay there again.

This was a simply lovely bed and breakfast - gorgeous views and beautiful surroundings. The hostess, Esther, was so friendly and kind during our stay. Delicious breakfast, wine, and we even met some new friends at breakfast. We will definitely stay again and will recommend to others!

Jerry and Esther made this an absolutely memorable experience. Some our favorite moments were sitting at breakfast and happy hours talking to the other guests. We would highly recommend!

The property was nothing short of elegant. Absolutely beautiful. The host was enjoyable, funny, witty and cooked beautiful breakfasts. Afternoon cocktails were perfect and accompanied with beautiful daily cheeses. Jerry's restaurant and winery recommendations were perfect. We did not have a bad or average meal during our 3 day stay. Finally, our bed was the most comfortable bed either my husband or I have ever slept in. Beautiful stay.
