Casa Vieja Guest House

Luis, the owner (I think), was incredibly kind and helpful. On the morning of my Santa Ana volcano tour — which I had booked independently, not through the hostel — he informed me that access to the volcano was closed due to bad weather. That kind of thoughtful help made a big difference. At the same time, he was not overly intrusive, and he speaks fluent English, which made communication very easy. He also recommended a pupusa place nearby, and it was truly delicious — definitely worth trying! The location is within walking distance of the town center. There is a kitchen, as well as a water dispenser and coffee available.

The Wi-Fi speed was a bit weak — in my case, it was usually under 10 Mbps, which may not be enough if you need a stable connection.

Super accueil, Luis nous a beaucoup aidé pour organiser nos excursions. Lui et sa famille sont vraiment très gentils.

The host wss very accommodating to our requests and was personable and pleasant to deal with.

Amazing stay with a lovely family. They do everything to please you and make your stay unforgettable. Definitely recommend this place.

A lovely guesthouse in a family home. Luiz was very helpful, he found a tour for me to join to Santa Ana volcano, I rented a motorbike from him and gave me good recommendations to eat. It has a nice courtyard area to relax in and was able to chat to other guests. It’s a 5 minute walk to the main plaza. There was hot water unlike a lot of places in El Salvador.

Everything was fine for me.

Luis is extremely helpful and goes out of his way for his guests.

La amabilidad de las personas fue excepcional!

El dueño del lugar por intentar meter mi camioneta en un parqueo donde era obvio que no cabía... Lo dañó (me dijo que ahí podía más la experiencia para meterlo y me insistió en que prefería meter la camioneta él y por eso accedí), luego buscó un lugar para que lo arreglaran y me resultó peor. Era su amigo y solamente hizo un trabajo para salir del paso y no para arreglar lo que había dañado. También la luz de una habitación hizo un cortocircuito.
