Guest House Svetlana

It has the basic facilities and amenities we needed for the stay. They were very responsive to any queries and gave some tips to the places we were going to visit around Iceland. It has an amazing view and was very dark and quiet to view the Auroras at night.

Had everything you need for a stay, good location and great host!

The entire place was superb. This is the ground floor of the cottage where travellers stay, while the owners stay right upstairs. Hence, we were the only tourists there. It was a huge place. Very well maintained, tastefully decorated place. It was really nice to chat Svetlana and her husband. We stayed at a lot of places and farm houses during our 13 day trip to iceland (4 people). I have to say, this was the best accommodation we stayed in, with all being on similar price points. Most places had a double bed and a sofa cum bed. Only here we could get two large double beds. Everyone in our group were ecstacic about it. We stayed here for two nights, and saw amazing aurora right outside the door. We had clear skies both the days. Also there was little light polution here.

The location is on a farm very near to the ring road . The house is in a scenic location . The rooms are comfortable and you have all the facilities for a comfortable stay. we were just there for the night before we started to Vik . we all would have liked to have stayed longer. Will definitely book this property again the next time I am in Hella.

The host was so awesome and had arranged everything for us in order to make our trip very memorable. We arrived late after a long journey overnight and a road trip to Golden circle, the host greeted us with warmth. She made sure rooms were all clean and setup appropriately. Kitchen was fully loaded and she made sure to bake bread pudding fresh for us. Such an experience on the first day of our visit to this heaven country with heavenly host. The host took my daughters to the greenhouse and showed them the vegetables they were growing and also hand picked the baby radish fresh from the garden to eat. Loved the location of the guesthouse. It was reasonable and did not pinch at all.

Welcoming apple cake from Svetlana, homemade sourdough from Kelly. Being greeted & farewelled each day. Having the horses nearby was so lovely. The views from accommodation are out of this world. We loved it and strongly recommend to everyone.
