Rocky Gap Casino & Resort

Parking is horrible for hotel guests. There's no dedicated parking for paid guests. It's shared with golfers and casino visitors. You may have to carry your luggage for quite a distance. Our room was spacious, but the amenities were minimal. Shampoo, and body wash wash there but not enough for two people for a day. The tissue box had approximately 10 tissues in the box. The toilet paper roll was almost empty when we arrived. In addition, there were unknown extra fees upon check-in. We will never stay here again.

Wonderful views

Upon arrival, I was walking in with two small kids and my elderly mother while carrying all our bags from the parking lot. There was no bellhop or staff at the door to help, which was disappointing. When I checked in, our room wasn’t ready, so we had to sit in the lobby surrounded by our luggage. The only open restaurant was on the opposite side of the resort, but we couldn’t leave our bags unattended. I was told to check back every 30 minutes to see if our room was ready, even though we were sitting right in front of the front desk. It would’ve been much better customer service if the staff had checked for us. Once the room was finally ready, we dropped our things off and went to get food for the kids. After walking across the property, we were seated but waited about 8 minutes before anyone came by. When I asked for something quick like a hot dog, I was told it would take 25 minutes—too long since we had to meet someone—so we left. It’s clear this resort is designed more for adults and casino guests than for families. There’s no room service, limited restaurant hours, and a lot of walking just to find food. The next morning, the breakfast restaurant was already closed, so we ended up buying fruit cups from the front lobby—something you’d expect at a basic hotel, not a resort. If you’re visiting to gamble for a night, it’s clean and fine. But for families, it’s not kid-friendly and difficult to navigate.

Good room. I was there for 2 nights over a weekend. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lake view was worth it. The casino was fun and the grounds are nice for walking around. I don’t play golf but people seemed to like that too. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. My only complaint is breakfast was awful. They couldn’t make scrambled eggs or real potatoes. Coffee was also terrible. I will stay again but probably drive somewhere else for breakfast.

Beautiful area. If you're not into gambling (especially at night), it would be great if other options were available. I did appreciate the live entertainment, which would be incredible if they expanded on that feature.

Restaurant food was not good

It is a nice resort especially if you like golf, nature and gambling.

The pool was open to 11 for us late people, staff was friendly

My sister and I was traveling and we needed a hotel room to stop at on the first leg of our trip. My made the reservation around 7pm for a 10pm check in after a three hour drive. We were able to check in with no problem.
