The Lodge at Tiburon

It’s close to where we were going. The bar is nice.

Your front desk staff is inattentive and sometimes rude. Your coffee bar is dangerous! I put my cup down to put sugar in it and it fell over and burned my hand. The surface is uneven. You need that on a level table. Anyway, when it fell over I yelped and the woman at the front desk didn’t even react. There was nothing to mop the coffee up with and I literally had to walk over and ask her for some paper towels. Until then she didn’t acknowledge that I was even there. My two siblings and I were in town for a family birthday. My brother says there was black mold on the ceiling of 110 and my sister mentioned the state of the bathroom fixtures and molding was in poor repair in her room, 210 I think. It was also very loud at night due to some conference attendees hanging around and being loud out by the pool. The cost of the rooms, nearly $1000 for three nights, is exorbitant. I don’t think I’ll be back for that reason.

An older lodge that was probably nice in its day, but now suffers from poor maintenance, lack of upgrades and amenities. Wildly overpriced for what you get. Issues: poorly lit outside entrance door to room; large area of mold over the tub, other spots of mold in the corners; our "deluxe king" room looked directly on the lobby exit, with large curtains that blow wildly in the wind as the only privacy for the small patio; no valet available to help with bags; maid service incomplete (didn't properly stock items that we had to get from front desk); insufficient receptacles for bedside; fairly hard "old school" mattress and pillows; constant buffering on TV channels due to poor cable/satellite made some movies unwatchable. All of this at $360 per night. Very poor experience

The staff was friendly, the food was good and the grounds were beautiful. I also really liked the location. The hotel is a short walk to a beautiful park along the bay and it was a lovely place to walk.

The rooms could use some updating. My room was clean but had a musty smell. The bed was comfortable and the complimentary waters were nice to have.
