Hotel Keflavik by Reykjavik Keflavik Airport

The property had a nice large parking lot in front which made it easy to get in and out. We stayed just for one night before our early morning flight out of KEF. About 10 minutes by car to the airport, maybe less. The room was quite small, with tiny windows, and bathroom was extremely dated. During our stay we also had the fire alarm go off in the middle of the night twice, which made it really hard to get rest during already what was going to be a short night .the restaurant at the hotel seemed to be quite busy, highly rated in the area, I would suggest making a reservation in advance. We took a 15 minute walk to a pizza place and grabbed a pizza for dinner. There is a few places to eat around with 15/20 minute walk.

The property is designed in a very specific taste of everything black and gold. A little too much in my opinion. Room was very small, but efficiently furnished. Bathroom was very dated and needed an upgrade

L’accueil était froid et distant. Pour un hôtel 4 étoiles, nombre d’améliorations sont à apporter. L’accès à la réception se fait par des escaliers. Il ne vous reste qu’à porter vos bagages. Une rampe serait la bienvenue. Ne rêvons pas d’un porteur. Notre chambre # 307, était située au bout d’un couloir non éclairé. Des lits d’appoint et des radiateurs étaient entreposés en face de la porte de notre chambre. Il n’y avait pas de thermostat de chauffage. La chambre disposait de 2 lits « single ». Nous avions réservé un lit double. La nouvelle chambre qui nous a été attribuée suite à notre demande de changement, n’avait pas de point d’éclairage près du lit. Il fallait se lever pour éteindre le plafonnier… Nous nous sommes à nouveau rendus à la réception, demander 2 lampes de chevet. Oh là là! La 1 ère a été déposée 1 h plus tard. La 2nde, après insistance , 2h plus tard. Pas de téléphone dans 1 chambre 4 étoiles. 1 grande serviette e1 petite serviette /pers. Après 3 aller-retour à la réception, nous pensions profiter paisiblement de notre chambre. Jusqu’au moment où les voisins ont emménagé. Les murs élégamment recouverts de papier peints Versace, laissaient passer le son du moindre mouvement des voisins de chambre. Nous avons pleinement profité d’un concert de ronflements, gratuit. Seule chose gratuite dans cet établissement. Le transfert à l’aéroport a été assuré par un taxi. La navette de l’hôtel n’était disponible que pour les clients qui voyageaient avec ICELANDAIR. Nous partions aux Îles Féroé avec Atlantic Airways.

Zum Flughafen waren es mit dem Auto nur ein paar Minuten, Service am Empfang und in der Bar war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Einrichtung des Zimmers war total verwohnt - Vorhänge löchrig, Badezimmertür schloss nicht richtig, Lack an den Türen blätterte ab

La chambre vieillotte qui ne ressemblait absolument pas aux photos Booking de ce que nous avions réservé. Et donc forcément un prix excessif par rapport à la chambre qui nous a été donnée. Et du personnel d’accueil peu sympathique.
