"We have returned to the Cloister for New Years now several times and to visit friends on Sea Island."

Breakfast buffet was outstanding and the service most excellent.

The management of the room service was spotty. The last day we were there, the room was never serviced. One prior day, we had to call to have the service because it had not been serviced, and we were preparing for the New Year's Eve celebration at the Oak Room.

"Beautiful but ultimately disappointing."

Grounds and rooms are outstanding and well maintained. Location is beautiful. Enjoyed the beach.

Service could be more attentive. Dining experiences were good but not exceptional. Activities were prohibitively expensive. In my opinion, not really a good value for the money given what was offered.

"we loved bing and walking by the beach but the property amenities were not as we expected it to be."

the history it brings.

shower in the room! water pressure. I could not wash my hair with that water pressure. the quality of food was not like previous times. we are more used to a fine dining. salty breakfast.
