Le Caravelle Bed and Breakfast

The property has a very good location, just in the historical center, lots of restaurants around, close to the beaches. Paola, the host, was very welcoming and caring. Property itself was nice and clean.

1. The stairs. Our room Santa Maria was located on the top floor and the stairs height is higher than usually, so we felt like exercising every time we were coming home. For elderly people I would suggest to ask which room you have reserved, as going upstairs will be a challenge for elderly people or people with disabilities. 2. Misleading pictures of the room. I rented the room only because of the picture of the balcony in the room’s description. However after the reservation I asked to double check and it appeared that the balcony is communal, not the private in the room. I asked for a refund explaining that we wanted this room only because of the balcony but received rejection. I contacted booking.com support center but they were useless. At the end we had to go to this place as we couldn’t afford loosing £1400. Have to say that because our room was the top one we were actually the only users of the roof balcony (probably because of the stairs lol!) . So at the end we got what we wanted, but there is still the fact that the picture are misleading, room pictures contain communal facilities, not just the room, which is very confusing.

Very nice and clean room, very good location

Accomodation was clean, had window so it could be air out, otherwise it would be damp. Good location. We have entered room 20min before check in. Bathroom was clean, bed comfy.

The air-condition was not working (no air exiting), or at least we didn't know how to make it work. Our room was Nina (barely seen in the photos)… the room door is at the entrance, so each time other guests entered we had feeling as they enter in our room. although there is kitchen (no glasses or plates). Internet was periodically working. And my personal internet had really bad signal inside. We have sent a special request when we booked: asking if it is possible to leave our backpacks earlier so we don't have to bring them with as at the beach. No answer at all.

Located perfectly for enjoying the old town experience. Unfortunately the host spoke no English so it was very hard to communicate. We thought we had breakfast included but couldn’t communicate with the host how to get it and there was no instructions in English. The rooms were up very steep stairs which would make it impossible for elderly or young children. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable and newly renovated. I would suggest this accommodation for young couples or friends not families or older people. Communication in English needs to be improved if this is to be offered to International guests who don’t speak Italian.

The description online is a complete misrepresentation of the property. No terrace, no balcony, no city view, one plate, one knife, no supplies to make coffee or tea, not a quiet location.

The AC didn’t work.
