"Beautifully appointed cosy cottage, would definitely recommend!"

10.0

We fell in love with Lansdowne Cottage! Everything about it ticked all of our boxes and made for a lovely girls weekend away. It was so well appointed and cosy that we almost didn't want to go out for dinner! The lounge area with the gas fire was so warm and inviting that we spent hours there. The kitchen is also well appointed so eating in was an option. Have to recommend the pub next door for food which was divine and they also gave us a discount when we mentioned we stayed at the Lansdowne Cottage, bonus! There was parking outside for one car and everything is walkable. The information provided by the host was thorough and well thought out. Location of the key was easy to find. We would definitely recommend stay here!

Nothing, the cottage is amazing!

"Very enjoyable and would definitely recommend."

9.0

The cottage was very pretty! It had a lovely homely feel and it was nice to relax in it! The bed was nice and comfortable and all of the facilities were good! The owners, as ever, were accommodating and very very friendly!

If I really had to choose something, I would say that the TV was a little temperamental at times.

"Excellent"

8.0

We stayed at Lansdowne Cottage for two nights. The location was excellent — a short walk to Bourton-on-the-Water with its riverside views, shops, and restaurants. The cottage was cozy and had helpful amenities like a washer-dryer and utensils, though some items needed washing before use. Towels were limited, and we had to reuse them during our stay. The main issue was the heat. We visited during a heat wave, and the cottage had only one small fan. Another was provided on request, but it wasn’t enough. We kept the windows open but were concerned about bugs (though we didn’t see any). For guests from the U.S. used to central AC, summer stays could be uncomfortable. That said, it would likely be lovely during cooler months. The staff were very sweet and responsive, and we appreciated their help. Finding the cottage was a bit tricky — Google Maps misled us, and better signage would help future guests. Overall, a charming place with a great location, just be mindful of the summer heat.

"The sitting area is nice but some of the games are already missing some parts so can not be played."

There is only one fan in the property and not enough to keep the cooling of two rooms. Overakl the flat is clean.

"Not worth the £570 for a 2 night stay."

3.0

When we arrived the property looked clean initially. The whole place especially the sofas need a deep clean. Within an hour we felt very itchy. The bed linen was clean but the duvets were full of stains and spiders everywhere. No WiFi 90% of our stay. No hot water. TV doesn’t switch off at back need to move to and switch off at socket behind the unit. Parking very restricted at front, car hanging over onto footpath and road and blocked any access to bins.

No WIFI No hot water Needs a serious deep clean with sodas and carpets. Change duvets and pillows as a serious issue with stains

Everything. The cottage was very comfortable and felt like home. The basket of goodies was amazing. Met Casey and Corinne who were lovely and nothing too much trouble. Would return again and again.
