Nonexistent room service during our stay

the property was informed about my estimated arrival time. when I got there there was no one. I telephoned and was very courteously told that someone will meet me in five minutes. I called back after 15 minutes and the call went on to voicemail. 25 minutes later I was told they had an emergency and that was a flat tyre and that they could not get out of where they were. unsure of what was going to happen I then drove to Kroonstad and did not get suitable accommodation which meant me driving 220km to Bloemfontein. never again at this place. they are disorganised and perhaps no regard for their guests who travel long distances and want a restful night before continuing their journey.

Yes, you see a lot of tigers and lions around, but I don't think they have enough space in their cages from what I saw. If you like it adventurous this might be a good experience. For me, I was a little too close to the cages. I am also not sure about the appropriate animal keeping. It didn't feel right to me at all.

The rooms are very outdated and it was a bit dirty. We did not have a shower because of that and the sheets had some stains. We had a 4 hours power cut (from 5pm-9pm), even though they said it is usually for only 2 hours. So, we couldn't cook anything for dinner and literally went to bed hungry. The staff didn't brief us properly either, although they were nice and friendly. They also disappeared a lot. The pool was not inviting, and I didn't understand the bar/ restaurant situation. To me, it looked closed. Then external guests arrived and someone came along, turned on a generator that brought back certain electricity (not for cooking or lights in our room) served them some drinks, and then turned it off again after they disappeared. The generator was also very loud and just in front of our room. I could not sit outside while it was on as the noise was really bothering me. However, I really wondered, why they wouldn't leave on the generator knowing we are staying in one of the rooms and after I asked about the length of the power cut? Or even communicating this option to us? I felt a bit ignored and forgotten there. We were also the only guests at that time so it wasn't busy at all. I also did not enjoy the roaring from the cages throughout the night.
