Gardesana Active Apartments

We loved our stay in Carolina's apartment in Malcesine. Our favourite things about the apartment were definitely access to the pool with a view of the mountains and olive groves, and the view from our apartment balcony - we enjoyed this every morning and evening. The apartment was a good size and had everything we needed. Carolina was very helpful and gave us lots of advice for things to do in Malcesine. Our apartment was also just next to a fantastic restaurant. We had a really lovely trip, thank you Carolina!

A note on location: when we booked the "snowboard" apartment I looked at the gardenesa apartment reviews, many of which said that the apartments were in the centre of malcesine, and the description/location of the apartment on the main booking.com page. We only discovered we were staying in the one apartment in a separate building a week before we went, which is a bit of a walk up the hill from central malcesine. This was slightly our fault as the room we booked was labelled "separate building" and had a further description on booking.com if you looked hard enough, but this seemed to be a bit buried. We ended up hiring a car as I was five months pregnant at the time of our visit and so this was fine, but there should probably be a short description on the main booking.com page highlighting if you book the snowboard apartment specifically, it is less central. We actually ended up really enjoying the location as it was so peaceful and calm and were glad we ended up in this apartment, but thought we should mention for others potentially booking this particular separate apartment who may have accessibility needs. In the end, we loved the apartment and were glad we stayed!

Great accommodation with friendly helpful staff. It was a perfect location to access everything we needed for our short stay.

This venue was perfectly placed to explore Macasine and the rest of Lake Garda either by bike boat car or foot highly recommended

Great helpful host, excellent location.

Excellent location. 2 minutes from bus, 5 minutes from ferry, 3 minutes from supermarket. On main road but not noisy. Modern , spacious and clean with lift. Very good communication from Carolina.

Nothing not to like

Great location, wonderful reception experience, loved our room with great views of Lake Garda and castle.

Beds were a bit uncomfortable and only one flat pillow for each of us. Could use extra fluffy pillows.

Top location, nice views, big bathroom, balcony

Bed wasnt comfortable, to park the car you need to go up hill, really narrow street only one direction, hard times if another car was coming.. hard to leave the bags infront of the apartment, super narrow. And there is always someone coming with his car complaining you are blocking their way! The studio is mini.. and the bathroom it's huge..the table it's literally stuck to the bed, all really narrow!

Carolina our hostess was amazing and in contact as soon as I booked the apartment. This was my first trip abroad for a long time and my teenage daughters first. I had never booked things separately before so Carolina's contact was so helpful and reassuring whilst also striking a good balance at not overwhelming me. Carolina booked our taxi transfer for us from Verona airport, everything went smoothly from start to finish. We stayed at one of Carolina's apartments that was a 15 minute or so walk up the hill from the old town and it was perfect for us. The balcony view of the lake and mountains was outstanding. We had two complementary bikes to use and if we had been a bit later in the season there were tennis courts, a pool and olive tree gardens we could have enjoyed too. We loved the peace, quiet, clear air and hearing the cuckoo. The apartment was spotless, modern and well equipped. Carolina met us there, showed us round and gave us our bearings for what was going on in Malcesine. She was contactable if we needed anything in the week and she came to see us again as we were leaving. We loved Malcesine and all of the area, the weather was perfect too. Carolina showed us one of her family apartments in town and that was stunning, stylish and spotless too. We would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Location fantastic, v clean, spacious, lovely balcony & views. Friendly host, nice shower, modern, free bikes w unlimited use, cafe down below so can get coffee whenever you like

Had to buy toilet paper body wash soap etc but I guess this is normal for an apartment
