wonderful location and wonderful host, very helpful and informative. The room was very clean and the location was perfect!

We had a great stay at Casa Evelina. The host was nice and contact us before our arrival to confirm our arrival time. The location is excellent, very close to the train station and also close to the center of Sorrento and to the port.

I booked Casa Evelina in Sorrento for two nights because of the goods reviews. When we arrived the manager told us that he had problems with the room and was going to put us in an alternative accommodation. The alternative accommodation was a substandard flat with a much lower category and definitely not an accommodation I would have chosen to stay. Due to the short notice we paid the alternative flat to the Casa Evelina’s manager. The flat was cold, the beds were very uncomfortable and the breakfast was awful. We called the Evelina’s manager before 10AM the day after and told him we were not going to stay another night and to return us half of the money. This was followed by a very unpleasant conversation where he refused to pay us back the money. Eventually he agreed to pay 100EUR cash that was short of what we paid. He later lied to Booking regarding the cash he gave us. I complained to Booking and got 89.10EUR back but the whole experience was very unpleasant and would not recommend this place.

Convenient location, attractive decor;

Very difficult to locate ; owner does not live there ; room cleaning every two days; towels not replaced; ran short of toilet paper as no spare roll available; no coffee and only alternative tea options in room; breakfast only available from 8.30am and we forfeited two out of three due to early morning tour commitment’s.

The only negative comment was that I asked for extra bedding - sheets for the extra bed and wasn’t given them. Also I asked for soap- liquid or other and wasn’t given them and was told to use shampoo. Huh? Why not? I was told they had none (doesn’t make sense to me at all). Otherwise everything was fine

The negatives, they don’t change the linens, they just clean the room. Breakfast is room service with no menu. The first day we got croissant with coffee. The second day, I needed the breakfast delivered at 8:00 because I was going on a tour he said he starts at 8:30am. Breakfast is just bread and coffee. No menu to choose pastry or fruits no orange juice, etc. I opted to eat out after the second day he couldn’t deliver. If you have to pay additional for breakfast I will not choose this option. Overall this place location and room comfort was good value for the money.

The location was good, close to the station and not far from the town centre, harbour etc. The room was clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was minimal, one croissant each, juice and hot drink brought to our room. We would have liked to be aware that this is not a hotel.

Pros: Good location, room is clean and comfortable. Cons: kind of expensive for what it is. Host wasn't very responsive to msgs and proactively providing check-in / out info.
