JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco

Bold statement but it's the most gorgeous Marriott I've ever been to. They remodeled it recently and it gives off a super inviting but modern feeling. The pool was refreshing and you can enter indoors and swim outdoors if you want to (its heated), the spa has the nicest sauna and steamroom complete with eucalyptus scent, the 5th floor lounge is a fabulous place to grab a bite. Thank you to Kendy for checking us in and telling us about Mexico City, and Eddgardo for feeding us the most amazing meal on our first night and to Josue for suggesting how to spend our too-short visit there. I can't wait to come back. Such a special place.

I used to stay at this hotel in all my trips to Mexico City, ever since it opened. Then it went into renovations and I stopped and chose other hotels. I have been back twice now in the last 2 months, and great service , but their new lounge is a downgrade from the old one. And with higher rates, I think there are better options like the Kimpton Virgilio or Las Alcobas (which I know is more expensive , but you get more for your money). It is just not my favorite nor my only choice to stay in CDMX as it used to be. .

Location is great and very safe area with lots of high end dining and shopping options. Staff were nice. But room is not soundproof.

If you like staying in a large hotel, this is the one. The staff is very friendly, extremely attentive and just good people. The breakfast buffet is exceptional, the location and views are perfect, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The neighborhood is vibrant and charming and you’re close to museums and galleries, parks and restaurants

internet generally not good, slow, and occasionally, completely down gym area/machines/weights too crowded noise from cars at Paseo de la Reforma

The rooms were incredible. Very comfortable with nice amenities. The concierge was incredibly helpful and polite. I made the mistake of staying in another hotel on my way back to Mexico City, and regret my decision.

The breakfast is nice but the staff is unable to manage beverage orders in a cohesive way. Best to either have a station for that, or to create a checklist in English and Spanish that guests can use. Gym is pretty dated but has a range of equipment.

noisy (from cars on Paseo de la Reforma) could put real cups in room instead of paper cups, and teaspoons, covid is gone! gym area a bit tight
