The Goodwood Hotel

Lovely classical decor and ambient lighting throughout the hotel and room itself. Ac worked well (after having to change from room 252, where it was broken). Spacious room, nice bathroom, lovely towels. Very comfy bed and duvet. Plenty of storage, hanging space and full length mirrors. Nice seating areas around the hotel although no AC in those spaces. Really nice bar and outdoor seating area. Plenty of parking Very friendly front desk staff, Excellent coffee we ordered from room service and great drinks in the bar. Great location, close to the beautiful South Downs and picturesque villages.

No hairdryer in the room but we took our own. No toilet brush to clean the loo. Could do with a fridge or mini bar. No plug sockets near the bed, so bring long leads, extension lead or portable phone charger. Carpets around the hotel look a bit tired. We ate out in Chichester which we found catered more to our food tastes. The bar and grill was closed to guests on the first night when we arrived.

Rooms need a makeover and breakfast was a bit chaotic

Good location for visiting Tinwood Winery. Comfortable bed and good shower and the room was clean. Farmer,Butcher, Chef restaurant excellent with very good friendly staff. Didn’t use the Spa as only there one night.

Whilst room was comfortable there were only two UK plugs we could use (the tv had one too but wasn’t touching that!) so had to manage charging of phones/watches and not close to bed. I’d planned to wash my hair so searched for a hairdryer - none. Having read a previous review on a lengthy wait I didn’t bother! Always check first!
