We loved the corner room with views of downtown, the comfortable bed, fluffy towels, and excellent buffet breakfast.

Needs a massive renovation ! Beds are as bad as lying on the floor, couch in the room i sank into the cushions were clearly decades old. The HVAC smelled musty and didn’t keep the room at a constant temperature, The bathroom shower is designed for someone under 5’9”, took forever to get hot water in the morning. Was there for 3 nights and wasn’t by any means a pleasurable stay. The restaurant charges stupidly high prices for a chicken Caesar salad, a vodka and cranberry was $22 for a single drink! Breakfast was highly processed , highly salted, commercialized crappy food. Never again!

The 90s called and asked for this hotel Back! Poorly maintained and obsolete rooms, especially baths. Dark hallways and broken AC in the common area. Marriot needs to do a major upgrade or let this one go.

Noise from the streets. Especially motorcycles after 10pm.

This was the second stop on my itinerary, and after a truly awful experience at the previous hotel, checking in to the Marriott Durham City Center was a breath of fresh air. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. A special thank you to the evening front desk staff he was incredibly kind, efficient, and professional. After a stressful start to my trip, his friendly demeanor and quick check-in process immediately put me at ease. It made a huge difference and set the tone for the rest of my stay. I truly appreciate how he helped turn things around and made this part of the trip completely stress-free. The entire staff throughout the hotel was friendly and attentive. The amenities were excellent. I especially enjoyed having a Starbucks on-site for a convenient morning coffee. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, my experience here was top-notch. Thank you again to the team, especially the evening front desk associate, for your kindness and professionalism. I highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay again when I’m in the area.
