Quality Inn St Marys

I am rating lower than I would like because i had to switch rooms due to mold. The first room we were given, the bathroom ceiling was covered in large areas of it. The light was yellow, the ceiling black mold everywhere. At least half the ceiling. No lie. The floor and wall had some as well, but the ceiling was covered. - I informed the staff and they immediately gave my family a new room w no issues and were extremely apologetic. Again, this is reason I cannot rate higher. —- The hotel was ok and the area good. There’s many places to walk or drive to w food and some small shops and businesses close. The Beer Barrel is an excellent restaurant that we suggest just across the parking lot. Lots of food choices and outdoor seating too.

Overall it was ok. Curious why we did not get second day room amenities Like clean towels and wash clothes and to replenish coffee supplies. I always thought they came in the second day to make the bed too, which they did not. We stayed two days

Location

One room was fine, the other was obviously the room they booked for animals and there was black mold in the bathroom ceiling from a leak above. The smell from both was too much to overlook.

Where it is located. It is about 25 miles from where we go, and this is closest place

Property was dated. Could use an elevator, dragging heavy suitcases up stairs is difficult. It would be nice if quiet hours would be observed. Breakfast was mediocre at best.

Property is dated. Stayed at this location because it advertised a laundry; however, their machines were broken so no laundry available.

The breakfast was ok, but seems like just the bare basics

the place is old and the lack of up keep stands out ! Dirty old carpet , plumbing very old and stained toilets ! Passed rooms of guests that actually had rubber plungers sitting out by their door !! All of the windows are filthy ! Seems like the owners are just making due.and it shows !

Rooms smelled horrible. Garbage hung out in back entrance and hallways way too long and affected how it smelled coming in and out.
