Staff was pleasant

The stairwell leading to the second floor hadn't been vacuumed in a long time, it smelled. Our room was adequate, one of the beds not completely made. The front desk had to come and reset & plug in cords to the TV, which worked for the night but in the morning it once again wouldn't turn on. Old and tired looking.

It was a clean hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff.

I could not find a ice machine

Every thing was average

The first night the bed was to hard , the TV Didn't work all night I could not sleep all night

Great location. Quiet comfortable room. Good breakfast.

Check-in was a disaster. A woman by the name Kristen checked us in. At best she was below what I would think AmericInn expects of their staff. She acted like it was a real pain to be there checking us in, and from the way she acted we were more of a nuisance than purchasers of a room. Kristen put us on the second floor and I asked if we could get a room instead on the first floor, as there is no elevator in this hotel and my wife and I are both in our 70's with very heavy luggage to carry in. She at first told us no, the hotel was booked. I found that surprising as there was only one other car in the parking lot beside ours at the time. When I said, "Are you sure", she said I'll check. She found a room on first floor and said usually I save a first floor room for 90 to 95 year old's. She said you can have this room, making us feel guilty we were taking it from the elderly. After she signed us in I asked if there was a cart for our luggage. Kristen did not answer and turned to another employee she had been talking with in the back room. I asked again and she ignored me. My wife and I brought our luggage in and went to the room. I was upset with how this went so I looked up Americinn's website and wrote a brief description of our experience. That must have been addressed to Kristen right away, as while I was in the shower, Kristen had called our room while I was in the shower. My wife took the call, Kristen told my wife she didn't hear my request, and there were carts in a certain area in the hotel. Never an apology. I am writing this I believe Americinn would like to know how an employee can impact whether or not someone returns to their hotel. We will not be returning to Americinn in the future.
