Quality Inn Athens

Property seemed rundown compared to past visits. Room needed paint. Second floor corridor missing carpet. I saw broken window screens. Felt like there was some disrepair.

Facility needs some upkeep.

Conveniently located near shops, restaurants and Ohio University

The bathrooms are outdated and they don’t have an elevator

Upon arriving I found hair in the bathtub. I immediately went to the front desk to request someone come clean it because we needed to get ready for a campus visit the next morning. I was told housekeeping was gone, and he didn’t know where any cleaning supplies were, but he would have someone come straight to our room at 7am so we could get ready. Not only was it not cleaned at all the next morning, it wasn’t cleaned the entire next day. When we returned that evening I again went to the desk to complain and was simply told I could talk to the manager in the morning. I spoke with the manager the next morning, and she managed to get our room bathtub cleaned while we were out for the day, but the bathtub still had some hair in it. At this point we were checking out the next morning so it wasn’t worth the continued argument. We will never be staying at this property again.

The location was fine, it’s a decent size hotel by itself. The bed was very comfortable, the pool and hot tub were pretty good. the channels on the TV were amazing and a very wide category, and the heat and A/C was amazing as well, the water pressure on the shower was pretty decent as well!

Walking into the room, it was decently clean but it definitely could have been better, there was crumbs and stuff on the floor, there was expired hardened creamer in our room, and the plate that soap sits on in the bathroom still had previous soap on it. The pool and the hot tub was very nice, but the hot tub was WAY too chlorinated. the “gym” they have has three machines, a treadmill, a little bike thing and then a “multi use” machine. the bike was broken, and the gym was in such a small little room it was very unpleasant. On top of the pool hours are 8 a.m to 10 p.m which sucked cause i was staying there for a concert so i had to wake up early the next day to use it. On top of the “breakfast” they provide, absolutely sucks. worst hotel breakfast i’ve ever had in my life. the only thing decent they have is a waffle maker and pre packaged cereal. As well as you aren’t allowed to bring breakfast or ANY breakfast item back to ur room. The rugs in the hallways were dirty and not placed right as well. On top of the shower in our hotel room, was very short. I’m 5”4 and had trouble fitting under the shower head. it’s a detachable water head, yes, but it just sits so short. Still made it work but

Room was average and clean. Convenient parking.

A lot of noise during the night; could hear every movement and people talking from other rooms. Bathroom was a little outdated and bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Mostly the price did not match the quality; I’ve stayed at a lot of different hotels, and I would’ve expected to pay about half the rate for that room.

I checked the bed for bed bugs. I didn't find any. I liked that.

The sheers were torn or anialated by something. They looked disgusting and dirty. The chair had the whole bottom ripped out . It was lying on the ground. The shower was a whole mess w in itself

Location was decent

They cheaply laid flooring in the hallways, upstairs and downstairs in the main building were peeling and lifting. Trip hazard The pillowcases were dirty in one room, and there were stains on the comforter.In the next room. The mattresses looked very worn. We asked to switch rooms and they didn't have anything similar unless we moved to a separate building, which would have put us away from our second room.
