ARRIVE Albuquerque

The hotel was absolutely adorable, with a sort of vintage Southwest aesthetic. Friendly staff and super clean rooms with nice toiletries. Walking distance to the show we bought tickets for that night, and lots of nearby food options. I was also allowed a late check-out, which was helpful since I didn't sleep well the night before. The staff also honored my special request to have a room on the top floor away from the elevators.

I was surprised there was no microwave in the room, or a coffee maker at minimum. I called the front desk to see if they had a microwave I could heat my dinner in, and they said no. The fridge was also stocked to the brim with beverages. While I appreciate the options, there was barely any room in there for my own food and drink items! I paid more than I usually would for a nicer hotel (for once), expecting that my experience and the amenities offered would be nicer than a cheap discount hotel. Not the case at all, sadly. $25/night valet parking, no breakfast included, no microwave, no coffee maker, and no hot tub. I essentially paid more for a hotel and got way less. It wasn't really worth the additional price to stay slightly closer to our show venue, and I probably wouldn't stay here again. But it was a clean and nice hotel otherwise! Just not ideal for my needs.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean.

Our room was dark lighting inadequate. It was too hot and even turning off heat didn't help and it was 30 degrees outside. The shower wasn't hot enough. No refri,microwave or coffee in room. Charged for everything including water. No outside beverages at pool has to use minibar from room which we did not as it was a rip-off. Restaurant and bar not open both days we stayed. Music so loud at pool you could not converse. Being right on 66 was interesting with cruising but was LOUD.

Parking outside the closed lot the bed of my truck was rummaged through by either homeless or a thief.

Great hotel and lovely lounge restaurant.

I felt bad for the number of homeless nearby.

Valet parking or feed the meter, each with their own drawbacks The only egregious thing: no coffee. Meaning, no coffee in the room, and if you want coffee you have to buy it from the hotel restaurant whenever it opens in the morning. This really, really sucked.

The staff is incredibly kind and helpful!
