Andaz Miami Beach Resort & Spa

Andaz was the perfect resort to celebrate three years of marriage with my husband! The beachfront access was perfect, the staff were very kind and helpful, and the room was gorgeous and spotless. Very close to many restaurants and shops. We would absolutely return!

The hotel is well located on Miami Beach and, overall, offers good facilities. Unfortunately, however, the level of service falls well short of what one would expect from a hotel in this category. The first issue arose upon arrival. We had reserved two rooms on the same floor and had received confirmation that this would be possible. At check-in, we were informed that the rooms were actually four floors apart. This was highly impractical, as the second room was occupied by the person helping us care for our baby. The receptionist's response was particularly disappointing, with the only explanation being that "it is not possible." Fortunately, the Assistant Manager took the matter more seriously and genuinely tried to find a solution, albeit without success. The second weakness concerned housekeeping. On two occasions during our stay, the room was not serviced at all, and on a third occasion it was only cleaned after we complained at around 4:00 p.m. A third issue was the restaurant service, which could be extremely slow—sometimes surprisingly so. On the positive side, the valet service (although expensive) was exceptionally efficient, and the beach service was also very good. The fitness center is well equipped, and the hotel offers a variety of classes that appear to be quite popular with guests. The swimming pool, however, is relatively modest compared with those of other hotels in the same category. Overall, this is a good hotel with solid facilities and an excellent location. However, a significant number of employees—particularly at the front desk and in the restaurants—do not appear to enjoy their work, which inevitably affects the guest experience. There are, of course, some notable exceptions, and several staff members were both professional and genuinely helpful.

I added a personal day to my business travel and decided to stay at Andaz. I really enjoyed the experience, from the friendly staff to the welcome bottle in my room. The rooms are well designed and Byredo products are used for the toiletries. The gym was small but had enough necessary equipment to get a good workout.The restaurant was pretty good for dinner but breakfast was unimpressive. I look forward to returning.
