Residence Inn Detroit / Auburn Hills

The rooms are nice and you can cook and they have an indoor pool and at night sit around the firepit or shoot some hoops

It was cool

My room was spacious and well-appointed, with a lot of nice features that I didn't use, like a cooker. There is a generous dedicated workspace. The bed is wonderfully comfortable. There is no street noise; my room looked out on a lawn and trees. The breakfast was an average hotel breakfast; edible and convenient. The staff were nice.

The property itself is an older building. However, the rooms are immaculately clean and well taken care of. Sondra (front desk manager) was AMAZING to deal with. Very friendly to deal with and made the check in process smooth and simple. If you stay here, take a very short drive to the Moose Preserve Bar & Grille for a great dinner!

We have been to this facility before as the two room suites suit our needs and the location is central to them as well. This stay was unfortunate is several ways. Although we stayed for three nights, our suite was never serviced. They do have a stated policy of only servicing the rooms on alternate days but three nights without service. Also, each morning a breakfast we were greeted by the TV loudly playing FoxNews. That alone made us feel uncomfortable but also called into question the idea that management would mix politics and business. Better to stay neutral. While Residence Inns are regular stops for us, this one will not be.

This was a wonderful location. We enjoyed our stay as well as the amenities offered. The Maintance guys were soooo friendly and no trash was left behind, the housekeepers and the breakfast staff were nice. All common areas were always super CLEAN!! The staff felt like family and I felt very comfortable.

Seems like they are housing Section 8 people there which I get it but as a business traveler it is annoying. Breakfast average, room was fine but it's definitely a 2.5 to 3 star.

Neat place

Perfect checkin. Very professional, hospitable and quick (Crystal). Clean room, good size with all the amenities. Great to have a full size frig. Free Breakfast adequate. Our toilet overflowed but when contacted, they came and fixed it immediately including cleanup. Really important for a hotel service when you need it! Very professional and great stay overall. Would come back.
