MERRIMAC INN & SUITES

The management is clearly spending money to try and update this facility. The location is great for historical sites and the parks. I look forward to coming back in the future to see the improvements, but for this summer, you have to tamper your expectations.

Hotel staff not paying attention to the "Do Not disturb" sign on our door...

We pulled up to the property and immediately did not feel safe staying there. The pool looked absolutely nothing like the pictures, the parking lot was close to impossible to maneuver with my compact SUV, and there were several people staring uncomfortably; my wife wouldn’t even get out of the car. We immediately booked at the Holiday Inn instead.

Pillows were soft! checked for bed bugs and found none!

I saw a large roach in my room. Carpets are stained. The blow dryer looked like it had caught on fire. Dead bug on bathroom floor. Stuff splattered on the door not to included the inside door was dirty and looked as if it had never been wiped off. Bed felt like you were sleeping on a concrete slap with a sheet over it.

The room was extremely hot at night, even with the ac running continuously. The staff were professional, but there was an issue with the registration process had issues. We were awakened after 10 pm, with the management stating i needed to come to the office with my ID and credit card. This was due to the reservation not being prepaid as we were understood. The facilities were decent but not appearing as they did in the photos.

Started with very polite service, and room was ready and clean for use. They made sure we had fresh towels evey day.

One one the best showers ever. Great nozzle and had hand bars. Toilet flushed but never sure if it would. Bed very comfy. Towel service every day TV had many stations available Lamp had bulb burned out

Bathroom fan was very loud Mirror glass not cleaned well

Great location! The room was nice and spacious but the beds were really hard. We had plenty of room to spread out.

The parking is very tight. Someone in a large truck parked a little over the line and we couldn't get into our spot. We had to have the hotel manager get the owner of the truck to move so we could park and it was really late at night so I felt bad about it. We would have parked somewhere else but there were no other spots. Otherwise it was overall a good stay.
