MERRIMAC INN & SUITES

We'd definitely stay again for the value, friendliness, cleanliness and convenience!The room was very clean and the staff was very responsive. The bedspreads were new. The bed was firm (though not cozy). The room had two queen beds and was pretty spacious. The Internet connection was good . The sink was separate from the lav/ bath/ shower which is nice.

The HVAC noise (and blowing air) woke me up a few times. The towels were thin and small. They provided two each. There was no bath mat. There was a coffee machine and packets of dry creamer and sugars but... no coffee! The staff happily found some in another room, as they had no supply in the office, due to phasing out the in-room coffee. As stated in the ad, there is no breakfast, so I suggest they resume coffee in-room. People need to leave happy!

Used to stay there a lot when we went to Busch Gardens We haven't been in awhile, so we thought we'd stay there again..I did not recognize the folks there, so I assumed its under new management...and for the worst........ when we drove up, there was a huge dumpster blocking several rooms...we stayed in 214...take my advice DON'T let them assign you that room...I went to take a shower this morning and the entire spigot assembly broke off in my hand and scattered all over the tub..I had to go get my own screwdriver and attempt to put it back together...well, I did, nut when I turned on the water...it would NOT get hot...even after running it for 5 minutes..plus...you better be 6ft tall or better to turn on the heat controls......we will NOT be returning

Nice cozy place, very quite, staff was nice

The bed was to hard.

There was plenty of parking and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. When we needed towels or toilet paper it was easy to ask for more.

There was only a deadbolt on the inside of our door and the remains of a missing chain lock. But we were able to prop a chair against the door for added security. The extra blankets had VERY strong detergent on them so we couldn't use them comfortably when it got colder as they irritated our allergies.

There was no way to call the front desk at 11 PM when we went to go to bed and found out that the hide a bed wasn't made and there were no linens in the room. Was told we would have to go to the office in the middle of the night to get them. Unacceptable.

They charged an additional fee when i arrived and the room was prepaid. The room smelled like mildew and the bed was full of mouse droppings.
