Super 8 by Wyndham New Castle

I wanted an inexpensive hotel for the night before an early flight out of ILG. The room was small, but fine for one person. It looks like the room had recently been updated with new bathroom sink/vanity, toilet, shower tile, carpet and maybe even the bed also. The shower head was great with lots of water pressure. The room was very clean and comfortable. As a woman traveling alone, the room entrances were all interior. I felt perfectly safe. I'll stay here again!

I was hopeful that the hotel would be nicer than older reviews stated because of recent remodeling. While the obvious things were shiny and new, the work done was sloppy. In my guest room the "Desk" chair cushion was not attached to the chair. The caulking around the tub looked like it was done by an amateur in a hurry. The webbing of the folding luggage stand was stuck in the non-functional room safe, so it was not usable. The breakfast offering consisted of stale donut holes, instant oatmeal and frozen waffles. Donut holes and waffles were all but gone when I checked it out at 9:00 AM.

beds very comfy, bathrooms was new install and clean, staff nice, somewhat easy access from parking to room. in general everything was very clean.

pkg mini muffins and bread for toasting and machine for juice. coffee in lobby empty or emptied early - room coffee was old & bitter, fridge not quite cold enough. navigating the traffic was horrible. drivers treat the hwy out front like indy 500

I stayed here by myself - which can always be a little nerve wracking as a woman. The staff was very friendly when I arrived and even helped me with the vending machine that was being a little finicky. My room was clean and the features worked fine - AC, mini fridge, water, toilet, etc. It was completely quiet during my stay with no sketchy people staying near me - I'm not even sure if anyone else was even on my floor, which was a nice change of place from other locations I've stayed at before. Check out was quick and easy too.

Basic clean room. On first floor near front of hotel. Highway noise. Good for 1 or 2 night stay. No complaints.

Clean, comfortable, good customer service and a good location.

The price, and the location

No problem with them asking for a cash deposit this year, accepted my points reservation. Everything fine except bathroom door would not close as rubbed against flooring. No sign of the free breakfast in lobby. Fast checking and check out.
