Super 8 by Wyndham Topeka/Wanamaker RD/I-70

Everything was good.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Hotel was very nice and clean! The kids loved the pool and game room!!

Room dirty, toilet would not flush

Black mold on the ceilings in the bathroom, mold growing on the carpets, only one locn on the door due to the latch being broken off from previous guest, handle on the sink leaks water directly onto the floor, towels could be thrown away and future towels need to be bleached instead of dingy and stained up.

Family oriented and always smiling. Hard to find hotels with family that gets along ....

There was a terrible smell in hallway and the room. I was afraid to walk in the room without my shoes on as the carpet was full of stains. The comforter had several cigarette burn holes. I was kept awake most of the night with doors slamming shut constantly and loud voices in the hallway. I had reserved for 2 nights but checked out in the morning as I left for a grief retreat (son died 2 years ago), and the guy was vacuuming the lobby and told me to just leave the card on the counter. I told him i was supposed to stay another night but chrcking out, and he acted too busy to talk. Attempted getting refunded for the 2nd night as I was paying for a reservation somewhere else that was a lot cleaner, but they refused to refund me. Don't waste your money and spend just a little more somewhere else. Have plenty of pics, but it will not let me upload any.

The CEO ( or etc. ) need to stay at this Topeka location.

When I arrived to check in I noticed that the grounds needed to be kept up better. I felt that perhaps I hadn't selected the safest place to stay. There was no one in the office to check me in. There was a bell to ring, which I rang several times with no response. Someone who I'm assuming is a long-term guest told me that they were probably working somewhere in the motel. So I has to go look for a staff member to check me in. The room was not quite what I was expecting. In other Super 8s I've stayed with there was a coffee pot and some coffee packets. There were neither her. There also no cups to get a drink with. I noticed that one of the pop machines in the lobby was out of order. There was no ice bucket in the room for someone to get ice for drinks. I didn't see an inc maker either. A free breakfast was advertised. The room for breakfast was messy. Empty cereal boxes were piled on a table. No one had been in the clean up the room either. I poured a cup of coffee, which was lukewarm at best. Finally, I woke up with several insect bites. I did not see bed bugs. I have no idea what bit me, but something sure did. I would not recommend this Super 8 and if I have to stay overnight in Topeka again I will stay elsewhere.
