Boarders Inn & Suites by Cobblestone Hotels - Waterloo/Cedar Falls

Had hard trouble with the door after I left for state darts (wouldn’t shut) apparently had to slam it. I never had issues before when I stayed and door would shut and not need slammed (room 204)

Check-in was smooth and desk worker was polite/helpful. The room was fine, nothing wrong.

On arrival, I found my room was not locked. The door was crooked, causing the door jam not to match up. It couldn't latch. Door jam was bent up, as well as the inside security lock. I asked for help but the man at the desk needed to stay there so that wasn't helpful. Then I Asked to switch rooms, but was told they were completely booked. I opened the curtain and there were dead flies all over the window sill. The toilet was dirty and there were multiple cobwebs in the room. I don't usually do reviews, but this experience was quite disappointing.

This place has bed bugs. I left after about 3 minutes.

The one good thing at this place was the water pressure. Other than that it was a little sketchy. Our door would not close or lock properly and our keys were not working right either. I had to go to the desk to have them rescanned. Our room had a big void in it like there used to be a second bed in the room. No chair or small couch nothing just a big empty space. Next time I will spend a little extra money at a different hotel.

Easily the best value for your dollar in the area.It might not be as nice or as bad as some other places, but it's definitely my number one pick

The hotel had a very weird smell down the hallway, the sliding bar lock way broken, the hotel staff wasn’t friendly, elevator didn’t shut all the way when it moved.

Loved it all

The room was ok, bed ok. Breakfast is a banana or pre wrapped muffin. Coffee sucked. The toilet didn't flush making a nice surprise for housekeeping

It was nice . They are very friendly.
