Super 8 by Wyndham Okawville

Room was clean, spacious and comfotable bed.

The only thing liked was it’s the only hotel in town. The waffles were good.

We had maybe puke on our floor when checked in and the vent cover in the shower was hanging. We booked a double bed room that sleeps 4. We had 4 people in our party and they would only give us 2 towels. When I asked for more the lady told me we had to bring the old ones. I told her they only gave us 2 and we had 4 people. We showered with 2 towels all week having to exchange them after showering so someone else could use. The 2nd day(Tuesday)our smoke detector started going off repeatedly. I went to the desk and the lady told me to just pull it down and remove the battery that someone would be there soon to fix it. I told her we were leaving for the day. When we returned that evening it wasn’t fixed. Wednesday night when we got back to the hotel we now had bugs all over our room. There were maybe baby roaches behind the tv and some small Beatles in our daughter’s bed and on the wall and in shower and above the toilet paper. My family was ready to pull out and go home. I talked them into staying as we were in town visiting family. Two nights my family slept in a room without a smoke detector. Thursday morning I went to the desk and talked to another lady. She apologized and told me she could have the room sprayed with bug spray. I told her I didn’t care and that we were leaving for the day. And that also we hadn’t had our bedding changed. When we got back in the afternoon our room had been cleaned and new bedding placed. Friday morning when I went into the bathroom and turned on the light another roach ran out under the door. I have been traveling to Okawville and staying at the Super 8 my whole life. We drove 8.5 hours to not have a comfortable stay. We were also charged an additional $210 for our 2 small dogs who were cleaner than the hotel. The dogs were also never left without us and were gone each day all day. I really feel dissatisfied with this stay and when we return we will be staying unfortunately 25 min away to avoid these horrid conditions.

Property is outdated but our stay was comfortable. Bathroom needed work. Toilet leaked and shower curtain would not stay closed.

Was there for two and a half weeks! No problems!

Older property. Due for a renovation. Little musty. Owner is aware of the limitations, hence, the lower than average pricing. Regardless, I would stay with this property again. Nice people.

Need more and better options. Quite spartan provisions.

Other than some coffee, breakfast would have amounted to a piece of toast but couldn't find even butter.

Just needed a place to crash after driving for 15 hours and it served it's purpose. Nothing fancy but really comfy beds, great A/C, and a good shower, so we were happy. Breakfast was minimal but adequate--waffles, cereal, toast, yogurt, and there was a Burger King across the street.

I was in town for a memorial service so didn't spend much time at the hotel. Bed was comfortable and staff helpful.
