We checked in and out within 30 minutes. The building and room smelled so terribly it made us feel ill. The manager told us we could not get a refund, which we didn’t even ask for, because we booked through Expedia. Then he said the smell was due to the building being shut down 6-7 months with homeless people living in it and they had just laid new carpet. We booked a new hotel before we left the facility.

Up to date furnishings. No breakfast when listed they offered breakfast. Offered a 20% discount at IHOP with room key, however needed to go back to hotel to give key back by 1100am. Very inconvenient so did not use. Walked into lobby and it smelled like mothballs.

"Nice, but smells terribly"

The staff was great at this hotel. The bed was firm (not hard), which was comfortable, and I liked that they had different kinds of pillows so I could find one I liked. They obviously have done some significant updates. The hotel is only about 10 minutes away from Worlds of Fun (which is why we stayed there), and the location is great~ there are very many places to eat right there. However, the hotel smelled so badly it was hard to enjoy my stay. It smelled like it used to be a hotel with smoking rooms (which it does not have now). It smells like they have tried to cover the smell with carpet and air freshners. That made it rather nauseating on top of the musty smokey smell. Maybe if they replaced the carpet it would be better????

Place was nice and clean for the most part, but they were under construction and said they weren’t having breakfast although the breakfast room was finished and had all the appliances and tables and chairs. Part of the reason I booked this hotel was for the breakfast.

"Not again "

I won stay there again. The smell and humidity was awful. No elevator. No breakfast. The carpet was so nasty I had to was the black off my feet before I could put my socks on. The smell in the lobby was disgusting
