A real gem lovely room

Electric shower- they never really work properly !

Breakfast was great. We had the restaurant to ourselves and we had the cooked breakfast, extra toast and yogurt. The chef served it himself, and he couldn't do enough for us.

The only downside was, when we arrived, we weren't able to eat at the accommodation. It was the time of year rather than the staff being awkward. It meant we had to drive somewhere else, which was a pain, but we made do.

Our initial arrival appeared to be a little inconvenient as the reception head seemed very focused on the fact that they had a VERY large party for dinner that night. Eventually after introducing ourselves by name and enquiring as to her name she seemed to relax a little and become more aware of us, her customers at that moment. The room was very comfortable with a sea view and very clean and presentable. The evening meal was excellent with great service from the staff attending us at the time. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

Our room had great provisions for ultimate comfort, with clean towels, robes, local knowledge quality magazine's and tea/coffee and kettle for our use while in the room. However, when I boiled the kettle and looked forward to some good coffee in the cafeteir provided, there were no mugs or cups to drink from. Our arrival for breakfast at our requested time was unmet for around ten minutes. When we did eventually get served the coffee was just warm, the breakfast was also just on the warm side of cool. There was no coffee or tea spoons or butter for our cold toast. It was very underwhelming in all aspects. In fact, the welcome service experienced from the night before and the comfortable room and surroundings was soon forgotten and replaced with the thought of, disappointing experience on a visit planned for the birthday of my lovely partner.
