Super 8 by Wyndham Duluth

We needed a hotel that was near enough to the hospital, allowed us to bring our dogs, was reasonably priced, and was clean and comfortable…we got all of that in our stay at Super 8 Wyndham in Duluth! I was nervous when I booked them that because they accept pets that it would be dirty and smelly and rundown, but it was the only economical hotel that said it accepted any size dogs (we have to black labs)…it was surprisingly and wonderfully just the opposite! Staff was friendly and accommodating, room was very clean and beds were comfortable, the halls and rooms smelled clean and pleasant, and the set up for dogs to be let outside was perfect! They even have waste collection bags and receptacle near the exit used for pet entry. We didn’t need to eat breakfast there so not sure about that part, but the quaint lobby was clean and nice. We saw people using the hot tub and so that was available as well as the typical ice machine, vending and laundry appliances were also accessible. If you go expecting a Hyatt or a Hilton you’ll be disappointed, but if you go looking for a clean comfortable room and beds to bring your pets and family on a small budget you’ll be happy with your experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

last minute booking, allowing dogs, clean room.

We DIDN'T request a room on the lower floor within a short walking distance as my mom is elderly and has difficulty walking. But when we were told where our room was we were relieved to find out it was on the lower floor just right around the corner from the front desk. It made it so much easier for my mom.

The breakfast

Everything was old, out dated. The first room they put us in was on the first floor and the window did not lock, safety issue for us but they moved us to second floor, it was adequate but old carpet, bedding and I paid over $200 for the night. Not a great value

Conveniently located close to Interstate, but not traffic- noisy. Very friendly & accomodating front desk staff. In December, breakfast area was very nicely decorated for Christmas. The breakfast room is small, but very clean, and very pleasant. The breakfast food selection is limited, but sufficient to stave off hunger. Rooms are typical motel. No rooms have direct outside access, so ask for a room close to an exit door if you have a dog. Overall positive experience, good choice for a motel.
