Super 8 by Wyndham Danville

First thing we noticed was that the sign want lit. Very hard to find the drive entrance at night. Our room had cracks in the sink and leaked on the floor beneath. Getting feet wet while standing there. When we arrived there was no coffee maker in the room. Once we retrieved another from the clerk. We realized there was no remote control for the TV. Desk clerk said they had a shortage of remotes. Finally found one after searching two empty rooms. Needlessly to say it didn't work on our TV. Finally the AC unit was so loud and noisy that I had to put in airpods to fall asleep.

Reservation wasn't prepared. Rooms were all filthy and roach infested. Residents in parking lot all day and night running exhaust fumes into stairwell. Hot water takes 30 minutes to occur. Renovations include facelift, furniture left all over . Checked 6 rooms, half didn't even have privacy locks. No remotes, no English, no housecleaning. No food, zero effort from staff, management, or owner. Made to pay cash pet deposit, then charged 3 separate times to our credit card. Came for a funeral of a family member, this dump did not help things. The reason it's 30 bucks cheaper than everything else is because it's atrocious. Never again, we're swearing off super 8. Every single one is a complete disaster zone.

Sign out front says “newly remodeled”. And my room was far from it Tape covering holes in the shower/tub, no lamp shade, no tv remote. Says on Hotel.com that breakfast is included…. It wasn’t.

STAY AWAY!!! The rooms was absolutely nothing as advertised from their website. There were cigarette burns on the sheets, broken furniture, stained floors, leaks, leftover/used bathing soap in the tub, mold-like smell , basically it was as though someone had trashed the place and it was never cleaned. I was not able to even stay the night and asked for a refund and was told I would receive a full refund on my card as this room cost me 124$!!! To this day still no refund and when I contacted Expedia they stated that the hotel denied ever offering me a refund. This place is disgusting and will scam you of your money.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was told by the receptionist that it was being remodeled. I was given a room along with the door keys. When I arrived at the room, none of the keys worked, so I tried to open the door without the key. To my surprise, the door opened without the key, and inside were 3 people on the beds relaxing. I told the receptionist of this situation and she investigated. She went to the room asking with a Spanish-speaking housekeeper to inform the trespassers to leave. Once they left the room, the housekeeper looked around the dirty room and left. I set my baggage down and attempted to leave the room when I discovered that the room had no lock on the door. I went back to the receptionist desk and asked why doesn't the room have a secure door. She canceled my reservation, and I had to find another hotel. I'll never use Super8 Hotels again.

Blankets had burn holes in them. No towels or wash rags. No smoke alarm just wires hanging from the ceiling. The key never worked and we didn’t get a replacement was told we wouldn’t be getting another. Receptionist was fine and helpful to an extent.

Nothing at all

In my 77 years, I have stayed in some pretty bad motels/hotels. I have never given a review of "1" until now. This was a bad experience from the get-go. The first red flag was the announcement on the marquee that they have "long term renters". We proceeded on. At the front desk, the lady had our reservation under the wrong credit card. She gave us our room on the second floor. I asked if there is an elevator. She replied that there were stairs. I replied that that was a problem with my husband's serious mobility issues. I was met with a blank stare. We asked about the "free" breakfast. There is no breakfast. "Light" or otherwise. Nonetheless, we proceeded to our room. The carpet was filthy, a lamp did not work, some furniture was broken, and the bathroom door appeared to have serious water damage as it was coming apart at the bottom thus exposing the inside of the door. We started to leave for supper only to find that the door would not lock except from the inside with the deadbolt. Locking doors is important to us. The lady said she would give us another room. The room she gave had one bed. Not sufficient for three adults, one being our 48 year old son. We don't do communal sleeping. There were many very unsavory looking people hanging around making us very nervous. We asked for a cancellation, and was told it was done. Then desk clerk gave the impression that "I could not possibly care any less if I tried." I will be checking my credit card very carefully.

From the beginning, this was a horrible experience. The front desk lady did not have my reservation recorded correctly. Wrong credit card number. No breakfast as advertised. The room had filthy carpets, a lamp wouldn't work, the bathroom door had serious water damage and was coming apart at the bottom, the door would not lock except for the deadbolt. Thus we could not lock while going out for supper. Desk clerk gave us another room, but it had only one bed for the three adults. Very unsavory people hanging around. Hallway smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We left. She said we would not be charged. She needs to be correct.
