Days Inn by Wyndham Somerset PA I-70 I-76

I booked a room for a one night stay at this hotel (date of stay 5/29/26) for 2 queens. This booking was made directly through their website and the reservation was made in September of 2025 (8 months ago). Yesterday (about 4 weeks before our stay was to occur) I received an email from the hotel stating that they had canceled my reservation “due to a burst pipe”. Interestingly enough, when I checked the website, the exact, same room was available for the same date but at a $50.00 increase. So, I called the 800 number and was told “sorry” several times but that they could/would not honor the original price quoted for the room . . . But they would be happy to rebook the same room at the increased rate. Definitely some shady, bait-and-switch going on here: STEER CLEAR OF THIS HOTEL!!

The room was dirty, The corners of the walls werent even painted straight. The AC didnt work propertly. The microwave didnt work after microwaving something for 8 minutes, it was still cold. My daughter was super sick and needed water but when she went to the lobby to get water, it was locked, so she paid for the water with the clerk and the bottled water in the locked fridge was legit warm. Smoke detector needed changed on day 2 and the crew to fix that was gone. We were moved to another room. That room was better than the one we were in for 1.5 days. We only paid like 60$ a night, but for how gross the room was, it was just too much.

The room was very clean and spacious. It also had a working microwave and refrigerator, which was nice. It was also quiet. It is just a bit run down and could use some caulking and a paint job.

The lobby had a display of very conservative evangelical propaganda materials. Not very welcoming to be greeted by misogynistic homophobic material at check-in. I just want a quiet hotel, free of politics and religion. The owners are in titled to their opinions, but if I wanted that, I would have checked into a mega church. Also, they’ve cut back on the continental breakfast to a bare minimum of eggs, toast, coffee, juice.

Friendly owners, spacious bedrooms and overall pretty clean!
