Super 8 by Wyndham Michigan City

The hotel smells- the room was musty- sheets were not clean. I would NOT recommend.

When we first walked in, we were greeted by the smell of rotten seafood or similar. The smell almost knocked you off your feet. For a family of four, we only received three towels. When I asked for more towels, I was informed only the housekeeper had a key to the linen room, and the front desk was unable to provide fresh towels. Thankfully, there was a Walmart not too far away, so I bought some towels. I understand that in the Wyndham family of hotels, the Super 8 is not the flagship. However, I do believe the hotel shouldn’t stink and the front desk should be able to provide fresh towels. Also, they have a sign up, saying if you stay more than one day, housekeeping, only cleans every other day. We should’ve just left, and dealt with the cancellation fees.

This is an older motel and you can tell by the carpet and lack of electrical outlets! There is no elevator, so you have to climb up to the second floor. I had requested mobility accommodations, but the closest they came was putting me in the first room at the top of the stairs. Since the other motels were full and very expensive, we made do. I really missed having grab bars in the bathroom. We had to be creative to plug in our phones, hearing aids, and CPAP machines. On the last morning, the TV remote stopped working, so we couldn't watch news or weather before leaving.
