Maximilan Danang Beach Hotel

The hotel is right opposite My Khe beach and all the great restaurants. Lots of fresh seafood as well as many Vietnamese and international options. An easy Grab ride to the Dragon bridge and night markets. The roof top pool is beautiful, day spa great and the staff are all truly friendly and helpful. We were well looked after during our stay by Kieu Anh.

We stayed in Maximilan Hotel Da Nang for 7 nights and 8 days. Let me give you the positives first. 1. Beach is within reach. you need to cross a busy 4 lane street with crazy drivers who doesnt have respect for pedestrians crossing the pedestrian lane. So, no need to cross the pedestrian lane. just cross the street. Say a prayer if you must. 2. the hotel is close to good restaurants in the area. 3. the housekeeping works fast. but. . . we will go back here in the Negative in a bit. 4. breakfast is good if you are staying for 3 to 4 days. Coz it is the same thing over and over again. but what the heck, the coffee and baguette and other breads are good. And if there is one person here in this whole hotel that i would recommend to be in the Reception or front desk, it should be Ms. Giang. She is the only person whom we sincerely felt that she loves to serve people. 5. Miss Kieu Anh, a guest relations officer was helpful specially in the last 3 days. 6. The beds are really comfortable. Now let us go the Negative part. 1. If you want to rest early in the evening, you cannot - Because of the blaring music from the beach front. The reception told me that it usually ends around 11pm. Unfortunately no. Most of the time, music ends around 12mn to 1am. So you need to choose, you want a more expensive beach front room that you cannot sleep early or a cheaper room that has no view but can sleep better? The only reason you are in a vacation was to be a tourist and have a longer sleep. We didn't achieve the longer sleep here. Or pick the beachfront but use earplugs. 2. Our toilet bowl broke down twice in our 8 days stay. They were quick to fix it but, it should not happen right? 3. Their tile floor makes a creaking sound just before the bedroom, like cracking sounds. 4. When we checked in, the front desk guy informed me that since we will be staying more than 7 days, they will give us a free airport transfer. I was happy coz that will save us expenses. After 4 days, i went back to the front desk to give our flight details, the lady in the front desk informed me that there is no free airport transfer and i need to pay 500,000 vn dong. I reiterated that you guys gave us free airport transfer, and we didnt ask for it. When i raised my voice a bit, she checked her system and told me again that yes, we will give you free airport transfer. What? you guys don't put it in your system what you agreed with you guests?? Have you heard of memos or communications with your team members? 5. Now to continue my issue with the housekeeping - this is the exciting part that i needed to drink my medicine to lower my blood pressure right away. When we checked out, the guy from the front desk informed us to wait for a couple of minutes because they will check the room. Sure, standard procedure. Then he approached and informed me that they are lacking face towels, a couple of hand towels and a big towel in our room. He even had the audacity to inform me that the housekeeping counted it days before our check out and decided to just proceed with our stay and will just inform us upon our departure. I denied all of the accusations because i was the one who packed our luggage. My family are not adventurous travelers who will get hotel properties. They even told me to open up our luggages to check. I found that really absurd but, for their peac of mind and mine, In the middle of the lobby, i unlocked all our 3 large luggages, and open them widely for them to check. I told them to scrutinise our luggage properly, BUT I WILL TAKE A VIDEO OF IT for our safety and security. They declined and then they will give it for free. FIRST AND FOREMOST, THERE IS NO FREE, BECAUSE WE DID NOT TAKE ANY OF IT. You better NOT do this in any of your future hotel guests. Language barrier is real and that might be acceptable. But for you to accuse your hotel guests stealing your used towels, better think twice.

very good. She always keeps in touch with us. She sent us lots of beautiful pictures. They made me feel welcome. We will be back for the holidays.

Nothing

I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this one. If you are planning to choose it for your upcoming trip to Danang, please read my review. 1. Extremely rude staff. No need to be too friendly or enthusiastic, I just expected average but there was none. From the check-in receptionist, housekeeping staff, waiters, bell man, .... they all ignore the customers. As soon as you need help and ask them, they will respond with silence and look straight at you, then leave without any answer!!! It's not just 1-2 times, but all the staff I met behaved the same way! 2. The staff didn't know what they did wrong and didn't apologize. A group of cleaning staff were chatting and joking while working and when they pushed the cart, they almost hit my 21 month old daughter. She had just stepped out of the elevator with her grandmother, the cart was rushing towards her amidst the laughter of the staff. And of course they didn't realize they had almost caused a disaster. When I told them about the incident, they were silent, ignored me and of course there was no apology!!! until I asked the name of the male staff who pushed the cart, he calmly told me his name and asked me "what's wrong". I can't believe this is how the staff here is trained. 3. in terms of conditions and facilities, everything is average, not too bad but not good either. breakfast is quite poor and unchanged. food quality is bad in short, for this price, there are many better places in Danang. trust me because I have been to DN many times! you do not deserve to pay this price for a place where even the staff look down on customers.

Very nice hotel to stay and enjoy the time at Da Nang, Kieu Anh and receptionist team are friendly and helpful.. room are clean and frah, daily breakfast have a variety food. Would recommend and come back on next trip.

The hotel is in front of the beach, the room is cozy and the breakfast is perfect! Appreciate Mr. Tho bellman that helped me a lot during check in/ the time we stay and check out! Our family has a 6-months old kid and the hotel provided all the support to make the stay become much more easier!
