Clarion Pointe

Most of the staff was really nice. The people in the room next to us were just really loud the entire night the second night we were there. Other then that it was an ok place.

The hotel was very nice. I am allergic to the scent of lavender and that is the cleaner of choice there. I did mention it to the lady that checked us in and she acted like wasnt a big deal. Had to let our room air out before could stay in there.

This hotel needs a lot of work. You could tell that it must have just been taken over by a new company & they have a lot of work ahead of them with maintenance and staff. Staff wasn’t friendly like it was in the other hotels we stayed at. No one ever made eye contact with you. Staff had to be asked to refill things on the breakfast line, but they were annoyed when asked because they were on their cell phones for what appeared to be personal conversations. My kids didn’t eat because there wasn’t any food for them at 8:30am. Breakfast ended at 9am but staff didn’t want to refill the line. At 9am when breakfast was over, they turned off the lights and broke down the breakfast line of empty containers of food while patrons were still there. Our shower leaked because it appeared that it wasn’t sealed around the base of the glass door, but again, don’t bother the staff because you could tell we were annoying them while they were on their cell phones. They didn’t even have the courtesy to have an ear piece in, they had they phone up to their ears so you knew they were on the phone and weren’t quite about their conversations. I don’t know if all the staff was having a bad day, but I don’t think we would ever stay here again. I hate to leave reviews like this. Good luck to the company that took over!

Nice newer hotel with a lot of rooms

My shoes made a sticking sound on the floors in the entry way. Used a towel and hot water to clean the floors and the towel was quite dirty afterwards. They add some kind of perfume to their laundry and everything stinks of a bad cologne. I could not stand to have my head on the pillow so I had to put my dirty shirt from the day over it to be able to sleep. Slept poorly as a result.

Great stay for the price. I would stay there again.

My husband & I stayed a night here as we transitioned to moving from South Texas to Shreveport. We had a car & small moving truck, so we were happy to see plenty of parking that felt particularly safe, given that there's a police substation that is present next to the hotel. Clarion Pointe Shreveport appears like it was recently built (there was some signage indicating that they were "now open" or something to that effect). I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the lobby and it translated to the rooms, as well. The bed was clean and inviting - I slept so well on it that I had to find out what brand of mattress & topper they use. Breakfast is served in a little dining area near the elevator and provided plenty of yummy hot & cold options. Staff were pleasant & helpful. All in all, we a nice & comfortable experience at Clarion Pointe Shreveport and would recommend it family & friends that need a place to stay in the area (given that it's only a 10-minute drive to our new house).
