The second room we got was absolutely fine, the Staff and location is very good too.

The first room we got had multiple bugs on the carpet and walls when we entered. Unsure what kind of bugs they were, maybe small cockroaches. Either way, it was enough to make the rest of our stay quite uncomfortable.

I chose the super 8 in Waynesboro, Virginia because we only stayed 1 night, and it was the cheapest option. I normally stay at the Best Western + when I visit Waynesboro. The super 8 provided a decent place to stay, but I found that the breakfast wasn't as near as good as the Best Western. There was no elevator, so we had to climb 3 flights of stairs . The room was smaller, and it was noisier. If I would choose this hotel again, it would be because of a big price difference. I would prefer to stay at the Best Western + next time I visit Waynesboro.

The parking was good, but I wasn't impressed with the breakfast.

The fire doors were propped open for 24 hours before I brought it to the staffs attention. They shut them, but several didn’t latch properly. This is a life safety violation. On a much more minor note, the coffee was the worst we had ever had. The breakfast lacked any substance. There was no eggs, bacon, sausage or potatoes. No hot options except toast and thawed frozen bagels.

The main reason that I chose the Super 8 was that it was the only hotel near Monticello that was priced reasonably. The location was very convenient to places to eat and refuel. The room was adequate and the beds comfortable. The continental breakfast was nothing to write home about.
