No cleaning supplies in the bathroom

It was slightly less expensive than other quality hotels. The room was relatively quiet. The manager Mark was great, and Chris one of the daytime front desk clerks was very very nice.

To long of a list..however a few highlights. TV remote was broke, however Mark the manager was VERY nice and brought me another one. The property is just in great disrepair. The microwave was unplugged and not working and I had to repair. The refrigerator was not working properly and froze all my vegetables And food I had brought. The floor was absolutely filthy almost like a dirt floor and everything including surfaces you touched was filthy and I had to go out and spend $30 in cleaning supplies and mop the floor multiple times just to walk in the room, And touch surfaces. The toilet wouldn't flush very well, come to find out the fill valve was cracked and leaking and someone just put a bag over it to keep it from spilling onto the floor, but consequently the toilet wouldn't flush. The plumbing was loose and rattling around in the shower and the tub surface itself was peeling off and nasty. There was a couch in the king suite I had, but it was so nasty and smelly that I wouldn't even sit on it or put anything on it. The clientele was of the lowest caliber in a very very good neighborhood. However, the police told me that they rolled multiple cars through the parking lot every 45 minutes.. The last time I stayed there the Heat pump broke down and started making noise and not heating and I had to unplug it several times during the night and plug it back in just to get some heat out of it.. If you had to interact with anyone after 5:00 at the front desk they didn't speak any English or they were very rude and dismissive as well as playing their music loud through the entire place. I feel like I was staying at a very very cheap bad motel in the worst part of Chicago or New York. As bad as I feel for the homeless and I actually gave them some money There was a couple of homeless people that were allowed to sleep in the lobby at night. I'm presently contacting Wyndham Hotels to see if I can get a refund or a comp at a better place in the future.

Location

The first room we had smelled like cat pee and the window wouldn’t lock. Our room was ground floor and not having a locking window is not safe . They moved us to a different room that was cleaner and felt more safe

Room was close to exit. Well laid out.

Bathroom fixtures were very loose. Fan didn't work.
