Super 8 by Wyndham Mt. Vernon

We actually didn’t stay. My first impressions gave me the gut feeling that I needed to leave, which we did. It smelt weird, there was weird activity going on in the parking lot, the window in the room was open and I could not get it to close (without a screen) it was not very clean.

We didn't even go in and check in. There was trash all over outside the front of the building blinds were torn down you can see it through the windows and there were cats in the windows so definitely people were living there. Did not look very clean we did not feel safe.

Breakfast was waffles or cereal. Hardly a breakfast. Not once did the housekeeping staff bring me towels or make my bed or empty my trash.

Great stay, very comfortable bed. Will be using this place again.

First, the good parts. The beds were very clean, and that is the most important. I really only needed a place to sleep, so the clean bed was all I really needed. Most of the room was clean as well. The lady at the fromt desk was nice. It was very noisy. I could see light around my door and hear every sound in the hall. The bathroom was so small, I don’t know how you’d shut the door once inside. I was alone so I left it open. The shower was stained dirty. I tried to clean it and nothing came off. I will say that most hotels don’t have enough water pressure for me. Surprisingly this one did and I was happy about that. Don’t rely on the breakfast unless you like waffles. The breakfast consisted of a few slices of bread, Raisin Bran, and a waffle iron. In the room, I wish there was a comfortable chair. It was just a small, wooded chair. The parking lot is small and not well cared for. Overall, the hotel did its job but if I were to be spending any time in the room other than sleeping I’d probably choose somewhere else. For the price I paid, I expected better. This was a $60 room in my opinion. It was ok, but not worth the price.

The check in was fine the bathroom was clean but the room smells of mildew I have slept on better beds in a camper then the bed in my room. The breakfast was not worth getting up for. Corn flakes or waffles that come out burnt from the timed maker. Between the bed and night stand was a previous guests clothing.
