Secret Suites At Vdara

We got the room with full kitchen so we could do breakfast and lunch there. There was 2 microwaves. Neither worked. One the door woukdnt shut. Coffee maker didnt heat prooerly and without microwave we couldnt warm them up. No toaster. No utensils. All cupboards empty. They gave us a $100 credit but it cost us more than every day for 4 people over 4 days getting breakfast, lunch and coffees out. Refused to do any better. No one ever fixed or replaced anything.

We stayed in owner Ford Brown's apartment within the Vdara building, which gave us a great combination of an amazing location and fab facilities within the hotel with all the comfort of a self-catered apartment. Vdara doesn't have a casino but is connected to the Aria, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan properties by walkways and free tram to Park MGM and the Crystals shopping centre. The apartment is huge and very comfortable, with plenty of room to seat 7 at the dining table and comfortable sofas for lounging after a busy day and night in Vegas. The views are breathtaking. For some groups, it might be a drawback that there are only two separate (huge, ensuite) bedrooms, but there's a sofa bed and a permanent rollaway bed in the main living area, so for families or eg a group of gals, it shouldn't be a problem. We were a group of 6 - one retired couple plus two brothers, one adult son and an adult nephew, so we used all of the sleeping options with great success. Baths and showers are luxurious and the free toiletries smell delicious. A new branch of Target has opened slightly further south on the Strip since our last visit, providing lots of choice for snacks, drinks etc at fair prices. ABC stores have also brought better price competition for CVS and Walgreens. The pool is delightful at the Vdara. The gym is ok but quite small for the size of the hotel and busy at popular times (7-9 in the morning and early evening pre-dinner). Public areas are nicely fitted out and there's a market/cafe and a Starbucks in the lobby. We ate breakfast in the apartment so can't comment on that. Housekeeping responded promptly to all requests.

The Vdara is a popular upscale hotel for business and leisure travellers and was full the night before we arrived. House keeping were running late and we were told that our room wouldn't be ready until 6pm, as against our 3pm arrival and 4pm stated check in time. However, on raising this with the owner, he very swiftly contacted the hotel management and sorted that to our satisfaction, making sure we were comfortable in the meantime and organising late checkout for us on departure day. One slight annoyance is that the apartment is no longer fitted with kitchen crockery and cutlery, which has to be requested from housekeeping. As noted, housekeeping responded quickly to all our requests but you don't always realise you need something until you can't find it! Oddly, although housekeeping spent some considerable time cleaning the apartment for us mid-stay, they didn't major highly on cleaning the table and other surfaces, although this may reflect the fact that we were hurrying them to finish the apartment on our arrival day. I couldn't get the Keurig coffee machine to work though didn't raise this with either the hotel or the owner, so if fresh coffee is important to you, you might want to check that as a priority. The hotel did supply an old-fashioned whistling kettle for use on the electric stove which worked fine. I'm being picky here and overall, we were very satisfied with the property which provided an excellent base for our stay.

The penthouse suite was amazing, clean and an excellent time for my brothers and I. Still, we did NOT enjoy being constantly asked to provide credential when trying to go to the elevators to get to our suite. I understand safety, but ensure you check everyone not just Black Men.

The suite was beautiful,spacious, clean and great views of the strip. We love staying at the smoke free Vdara and this suite did not disapoint. The owner of the suite, Ford Brown was great and easy to work with. He provided all of the important details for check in and most importantly shared that the secret suites offer free valet parking which neither the check in desk or valet told us about. We would have paid $40 a day if it weren't for the very detailed email Mr. Brown provided.

Overall amazing property and stay! Highly recommend if you are in Vegas and want a top tier experience! Easy walking anywhere and plenty of space!

Suite was exceptional, what a view!! Elevators from 48th floor were consistently readily available. Staff at check in/out was outstanding.

When you stay in this hotel, some of the rooms are privately owned. We stayed in one such room. The room itself was not in fantastic shape although it was not in bad shape. It was more or less like a hotel room. The view from the room was awesome. The food the hotel is limited, but there are plenty of options walking distance away. All in a the good stay.

Nice apartment. Very large. Has seen some wear. Kitchen does not have much, but people rarely cook in Vegas. I would stay again

Suite was excellent

Well maintained, excellent views, spacious suite with separate living/bedroom/dining area, large bathroom. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Taxi service readily available, and elevators ran pretty quickly.
