Hikers Lodge Ella

The TV was not working. The shower wasn't pressurized enough. I do not feel it is clean enough.

Hikers Lodge is brilliant! Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, hot powerful shower, 2 minute walk to city centre

Appearances are deceiving as from the outside it looks a bit rough, but the rooms are good - clean and functional with good aircon. Good base for a few days in Ella at a cheap rate.

Amazing host, nice large and clean accommodations. We stayed with 2 kids. Location is very close to city center yet away from any noise.

1. Perfect location - 5 mins walk to downtown Ella 2. The hotel is clean and has AC has well in certain rooms 3. Free parking for our car 4. Breakfast is basic but good. Views are amazing

Staff was friendly.

Gave only 2 bath towels , no hand towels , toilet pot and basin was loose , cold water in the shower, bathroom not up to standard.

Big enough rooms for families unlimited drinking water supply, very close to center, staff is so caring and attentive last day even he prepared very nice take away breakfast for us. Bonus Note: opposite italian-japaneese restaurant is so good

Service quality of breakfast can be improved, for example fruits should not be cut where onions are cut.

Location despite it being surrounded by many hotels.

Cleanliness must be improved. It does not meet the lowest hygiene standards. Dust, mold, eroded walls, blistered wall paints, corroded bathroom accessories, stains on the bedsheets, no sound insulation whatsoever. To top it all, the hotel will ask you to pay an extra 3% on top of your taxed room rate because they take no responsibility for bank machines fees. Very stiff bed mattress. Not a king/ queen sized bed. Its two full bed mattresses that are stuck to each other to make look like a king bed (visual illusion). The line that separates both mattresses is very uncomfortable. Pillows are large you’ll end up having neck-ache once you wake up, unless you have a very long neck.
