Shangri-La Dalian

朝食バイキングで、洋食のラインナップが非常に貧弱だった。又、スタッフが着古したようなポロシャツとデニムパンツを穿いているのも、一応「五つ星」であるこのホテルの品位を落としていると感じた。スタッフも、フロントのマネージャークラスを除けば洗練されていない。

Good location, nice open air lobby with nice Chinese garden, good breakfast buffet, nice views in horizon lounge, good late check out in horizon club. Happy hour in horizon club consisted of a hot food buffet and drinks which I was pleasantly surprised about (I expected a simple free cocktail but it was basically dinner and snacks). Horizon club king rooms had huge bed, so we had our little one sleep between us and there was so much space. Rooms were clean, but underwhelming for the price paid.

Dirty kiddies pool, cold swimming pool, dirty whirlpool baths in men changing rooms, lack of information from staff - after checking in, they just sent me on my way. I had to ask for all the basic information - When/ where was breakfast; what were horizontal club offerings (afternoon tea, happy hour), when was check out etc. for some reason there was no security card needed for the elevators on our first two days but on the third day it was suddenly required. my biggest issues were 1. The hotel and horizon club advertises “access to indoor children’s play area”. In reality it is a separate facility unrelated to the hotel that you have to pay for. I think how this is described in hotel materials is intentionally misleading. 2. My credit card wouldn’t work for payment (Mastercard). 3. The hotel took a refundable deposit for each room - which is completely fine, but they didn’t actually tell me they were doing it. I suspected it and got my wife to ask (speaks Chinese) and it turns out they were holding that charge. I really think the biggest issue with this hotel is the lack of information from staff (in horizon club).

・日本語スタッフはいません。部屋内電話には日本語専用通話ボタンがありますが、英語対応でした。 ・チェックインはクラブルームでもすべて1Fになったようです。以下クラブルームでの内容です。 　・冷蔵庫はミニバー形式。 　・アメニティは昔ロキシタンだったようですが、ノーブランドになっています
