Lovely owners and a relaxing place to stay. Very budget family run homestay but relaxed and friendly. Would definitely stay there again

Nothing to dislike

The bed was large and comfortable, the room was clean.

One central switch for the electricity so when you turn the light off you also turn off the air-conditioning and the electrical sockets making it impossible to recharge your phone overnight. The towels were for decoration and had no absorbency. There was no hot water the first day, but to be fair we didn't complain so it was still cold the second day. Maybe it could be heated up, but the boiler didn't look particularly safe.

I had a confirmed reservation on the platform, which clearly stated that check-in time is from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM. However, when I arrived at around 10:20 PM (still within the allowed time) and called the host, instead of being assisted, I was questioned about why I had not called in advance. During my second call, the host showed no intention of welcoming me and only asked where I was from. When I said I am from Ninh Binh, I was immediately refused with the reason that they “do not accept local guests.” This is unreasonable, discriminatory, and was never mentioned in the booking information. As a result, we were left outside on the street at nearly 11 PM in cold and rainy weather, with no support at all. This is a serious lack of responsibility and directly affects guest safety. Even worse, the next morning, the host called and sent threatening messages, including saying they would post our photos on social media. This behavior is completely unacceptable. In addition, the host unilaterally canceled my booking without my consent, demonstrating dishonesty and a lack of respect for customers. I had to contact Booking support, and only through their intervention were my rights protected. Otherwise, this issue might have been ignored. Furthermore, the actual property does not match the photos shown on Booking, which is misleading. This accommodation operates in an unprofessional and unreliable manner, with questionable ethics and unacceptable behavior. Strong warning: Please be extremely cautious and reconsider carefully before booking this place.
